Yes some Jehovahs Witnesses can have blood, most are unaware of this double standard http://www.quotes.jehovahswitnesses.com/euro_blood.htmhttp://www.geocities.com/osarsif/twins.htm

I am interested in Hawkaw's comment made earlier today...

The Witnesses in Alberta actually allow a Witness to have one whole blood transfusion if they want it. But no more than one!!!!

I wonder if this is just a matter of someone taking a blood transfusion and then being repentant, thus avoiding any reprisals. Any comments elaborating on the above statement would be appreciated.

If an elder sexually abuses a child and REPENTS it`s OK!!!
If a JW has a blood transfusion and REPENTS is that OK also?
Sure it is,REPENT is the secret word and the back door for all JW`s as is the word APOSTATE the taboo and immediate conclusion to any situation!

Beans, this is the last post on the issue. There hasn't been any follow up in our local paper (200 miles away). Hawk has spoken to the father, and I don't know if anyone else has. I have e-mailed him, but have not received any replies. I will let the poor man be, and perhaps there are others who have been able to help him. He has a great deal of courage, and now his life is down crashing around him.
