It's all very plausible but a good attorney can always track the money trail and see if they are trying to evade responsibility although holding on to some form of control even if indirectly.

What I have noticed is that the WT has now made the CO's responsible for naming servants. I wonder if they make the CO's sign off on some sort of legal responsibility for their appointments.

    Does anyone know this?

so--the watchtower is merely a non-profit making business that prints magazines and books. -- which it then gives--free--to various autonomous groups--called congregations--in many countries around the globe.

the volunteer members of these congregations then freely distribute these publications to the public. any donations--both from the public--and the volunteers ----in excess of any operating overheads---are then handed over to the watchtower to help cover their costs.

neat--so any misdemeanours by individual members of these congregations are nothing to do with the printing business. got it.

Stan, nothing to do with the Corporation that owns all the assets, in the form of Real Estate mainly. So, are top flight Lawyers going to be interested in suing the CCof JW on behalf of Abuse victims, when said CCofJW is potless ?

The whole Abuse scandal could grind to a halt.
