How many of these experiences have you heard over the years? JW's always seem to think it can only happen to them as the 'chosen ones"...interesting...what's your take?

Experience from a circuit assembly in Ft. Worth Texas:
This brother interviewed 4 people. An older sister and 3 brothers. He asked
the sister if she'd had joy in service (pioneer 21 yrs). She said

He's now an elder and pioneer. Now he gets asked a little background info

So the next brother tells his story. He was a Catholic but his boss brother

Then the speaker/interviewer goes back to the first sister and asked her

crying by the time she gets to him and he hugged her. Needless to say there

heartwarming. To think her son came into the truth from a bible study she
started and on down the line he was contacted. You just never know

That's because the word "pioneer" is found OVER AND OVER in the Bible, right? [8>]
I seem to remember, however faintly, someone named Jesus saying that Christians had only two commandments. To love their neighbors and to love their God.
The WitchPower Babble and Trick Sicksiety has spun this into a cottage industry of sorts, with people "counting" their level of love for their God.
And I guess it wouldn't hurt if you sold books and magazines for those 99 years, eh, NYT?

It's nice that the fam is 'one big happy' again, but just the fact that the mother was disappointed in her son for not being in her religion boils me up. He's a grown man.
Was he moral? A good earner? A family man? Then how could she pass judgement on him, just because he didn't follow the same path as she?
I think it's a nice story for JW's, but it just reminds me how distant they were to each other for not belonging to the other's relgion. It's actually sad that she didn't credit her son as much as the others. Guilt brought him back. I hope he's happy. For some, religion and happiness can mix.
