i have a friend, who since i left the wt, has been writing to me, and trying his best to remain a friend, in spite of how i feel about the wt. i had avoided the issue, up until now. although i cannot post his emails here, i can however post my email to him. he is an elder in my old kh, and we used to go fishing together all the time.
for months i've been struggling with this trying to get away from it all, and telling him to tell everyone there, leave me alone, don't try to contact me.
he was the only person who cared, and made any effort of any sort to see how i was, and if i was ok. of course, i told him repeatedly, i was fine, very happy, and doing great.
although i refuse to sent a d.a. letter, i had to find a way to tell him how i felt so that he could understand my position.
it will be interesting to watch the results of this over the next few days, to the next few weeks.
so this is what i sent him.

that sums it up, in a nutshell.
i am ceasing to be involved in the faith.
i realize this will put you and i in an awkward position.
and i realize that you will have to do what you have to do.
however, that is my position, and thats that.zev
