I'm sure you are all familiar with the Google Doodle. If you go to google.com there's usually a little animated doohicky that will run in honor of special events in history. They had one for Freddie Mercury's birthday, the anniversary of the first trip into space, etc. I found it interesting what they chose to doodle for today. It is honor of the first drive-in movie theater opening in 1933. Seems to me that maybe they missed a far more important event that happened on June 6th just eleven years later. I'm just going to assume they've never heard of D-Day (Operation Overlord). You would think they would have something in honor of that but I guess I'm wrong.
