Your post reminds me of several things I've noticed "missing" from my mom's. The first thing I noticed gone from the bookshelf, is the OLD red leather family KJV Bible. It was given to my mom, by my grandma (it had a lot of family information in it). The other thing that I've noticed is a picture of me at my confirmation (raised Lutheran)...of course, I'm standing there with the pastor and the youth pastor (who were wearing their white get-ups with crosses on their sashes) EVIL!!! I wish I had the nerve to ask where these things are. I hope they are hidden away, rather than thrown away. I would have liked the opportunity to have them, if she didn't want them any longer.
