    Soul = sol = sun. Many religious words have a solar/astrological similarity or connection. We use similar language when we speak of movies or sports stars, where the language is trying to elevate somebody by placing them in the unreachable sky or heavens.

    Have you tried translating this into any other languages?

    try the exercise yourself. im not claiming soul in sp or fr is a homonym w/ sun, im just saying there are far too many coincidences.

    try

    minister = min = minimum, ster = star .

    degree

    cardinal = points of a compass

    monastery = mon = moon, srety = stars

    monk = moon

    deacon = look up deacon and astrology

    sun day = the day of worship = the day of the sun

    --ster-- mon-- are found often in names and other religious terms

    amen = the egytpian god of the sun

    aton = variation of amen

    adonai = adon = variation of aton

    The idea that the "soul" is you has a sound scientific basis. Dualism is passe. Some have written about the contrast between platonic dualism and hebraic holism. Look it up.

    The biblical proof in the OT and the NT that a soul survives the physical body is overwhelming. Christendom has this right.
