Life's Lessons in Waves
The sea has passion, in surge and pull.
The power there does quite instil
A sense of fear, a thrill of joy,
And yet who'd dare to be its toy
It's waves can crush a mortal being
Who dares to risk their life, but seeing
A slope of a breast, so ever enticing,
It's like the rise, so everlasting.
Hitting a crest, so short, spume topped.
Spindrift flying, power unstopped,
Reminds of life's sweet pinnacle;
The highs, the thrills, before the fall.
Then crashing down the other side,
Is seen the plummet, the hellish ride
That sickens heart, makes weak endeavor.
The trough so low, it lasts forever.
And yet if you keep strong the heart,
Ride the waves, sense not depart,
You'll see a pattern there and true
Even the seventh, might you see through.
