So much for the generation in 1914.......
Quite the generation. My Dad was in the Navy South Pacific campaign at that time, he passed away in 1995. He was considered the 'old man' on board the naval Destroyer ship being drafted at 37. They were torpedoed and spent a month on an Atoll. He was in Yokohama Harbor for the signing of the Peace Treaty.
Miss those old guys and the stories they could tell.
Amazing story.
Looks like thier generation thing is shot to shit now isn't it?
just a matter of time that we lose all the WWII vets. I believe the WWI vets are all gone
That's when they added another generation to the Christmas light strand. That way, when they run out of one generation, they simply string up the next. And, when that one runs out, they simply string another one after that.
I believe their time actually ran out when 1875 came. They originally predicted that the end was coming in 1874, and it didn't. The only thing that actually ended (and that was in February 2012) was the Age of Pisces--with a big letdown for any Christians looking for something dramatic.
