Well, tonight is the REJECT Jesus Party. As most of us are well aware.
However, most of us are not as aware that they are rejecting someone else that is more practical today. You see, there is a goddess called Astaroth, grand-daughter of Beelzebub. This is the goddess of fertility, and was honored in ancient times around the vernal equinox in ways similar to our Easter. They called it Ashtar. And they honored it with rabbits and eggs. This was supposed to be in favor of a prosperous harvest, along with the ability to bear and raise children of our own. Before Judeo-Christianity destroyed these ancient gods and goddesses (and their temples), Astaroth was said to bring good luck in matters involving procreation (whether for us, or for our food).
The witlesses, in holding their REJECT Jesus Party, are also dishonoring Astaroth. They make no mention of the upcoming season of fertility (which is appropriate, since spring is when crops are planted). And, since pxxxing off Astaroth could also have a bearing on one's own family, they could also be setting themselves up for a miserable (or no) sex life, or having rotten luck with their children. As income was related to fertility of their crops, they could also be nicking their income. Either way, I could sure use Astaroth a lot more than I could use Jesus (or, especially Jehovah).
Hence, it might also be named the REJECT Astaroth Party as well as the REJECT Jesus Party.
