I was wondering what is the average cut off age that a child can go to a children's hospital I hear in some places it is either 18 or 21. When I was in the hospital once, at a children's hospital I once saw that a guy was 22 in the child hospital.

My father in law spent several months at a childrens hospital when he was in his 60's, because it was the closest burn unit to us.

That had to be weird I was 17 when I went to children's hospital and it felt weird, I can only imagine him at 60 that had to be very bizzare.

He was out of his mind with dementia, so I don't think he noticed.

It's 14 here; 15 and over are adults. The Children's is connected to the maternity hospital, so if you have a natal emergency, you go to the adult hospital, then get shipped down to the Children's if you need surgical intervention.

Well in the child hospital in CT I think it might be 21 or 22. I know that if they have to treat somebody quickly and happend to be near a children's hospital they might treat you at the children's hospital. But it would feel weird being an adult and being in a hospital filled with children.
