    hi all

the understanding of the society was that transplants were a conscience matter from 1967 til 1973? then were forbidden from 1973 til 1981?

however was it possible to have a transplant without any blood transfusions? was their objection to transplants because it was impossible to do so because non-bloodless alternatives were not available?

    thanks

    Transpants were considered cannibalism.

After the were allowed, the issue of blood remained:

The spiritual mastu******** (=GB) claimed that if blood was used to preserve the organs they were unacceptable!!!

Imagine having a parent or child die during the time it was forbidden? Yet, JW's live by principles not rules

Over the years countless witnesses have died because the society had decided that transplants, vaccinations and any type of blood transfusion was wrong.

Thankfully most of that has changed now but that will not help the thousands that have died through misinformation.

The GB bears the blood guilt. YHWH has prepared a special place for them along with the false prophet.

    Unacceptable

"Sustaining one's life by means of the body or part of the body of another human...would be cannibalism, a practice abhorrent to all civilized people It is not our place to decide whether such operations are advisable from a scientific or medical standpoint Christians who have been enlightened by God's Word do not need to make these decisions based simply on the basis of personal whim or emotion. They can consider the divine principles and use these in making personal decisions as they look to God for direction, trusting him and putting their confidence in the future that he has in store for those who love him"

so cannibalism is the issue here for transplants? nothing to indcate that using blood was the issue to make the transplant.

nowadays organ transplants operations are done without much blood being involved but was that the case back in the 60s and 70s
