I think the Bible scripture may reveal that the Laodiceans lacked zeal for truth and understanding. Something like the Society.
Are they right in using that term "the christian ministry" I think it is a real stretch to think that these people were involved in anything close to what they infer by using that expression.
Nobody gonna say if they think that the Laodiceans were involved in "the Christian ministry"?
This is what results from seeing a Bible passage through a Witness lenses. I remember I was shocked a few months ago when I learned the early Christians did not go from door-to-door.
The GB interprets everything the NT says about the Christian faith to apply only to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
In reality, the main NT reference to the organization is in Jesus' warning to beware of false prophets.
