I've been trying to find this in the New Testament for some time. The storyline goes like this: Prophet A fulfills his mission and is told to go straightaway home. But he abides the night with a friend, who also I think is a prophet. Anyway, the anger of the Lord is kindled and he condemns the first prophet. The next morning the first departs and is devoured by wild beasts.
Can anyone help me out?
1 Kings 13:16-19
I think this is what you want: 1 Kings 13. Jeroboam told his men to grab the prophet telling the bad news and God protected him [13:4]. But he was warned that he should not hang around and not to return the same way he came [13:8]. When the old prophet invited him and convinced him to stay [13:14-19], he was disobedient to God's original instruction, and killed [13:26]. All came to nought, the king did not listen to his instruction. He and his household were wiped out [33]. Funny little story, with a moral lesson.
