Valentine's Day

Another poem, on this auspicious occasion.
It's great to have the freedom to send a Valentine's note.
Since the sender cannot be anonymous, on this board, the recipient must be.
    Who is it for?

    Valentine's Day

A day of worth, a day of cheer,
    When happiness abounds.
For who's the lucky one, indeed,
To whom love's dart has found.

    A silent protest, never voiced,
A smile puts up a fight
That someone, unknown, sent a note
    But really there's delight.

The heart does leap, the smile grows deep,
    An inner tremble quakes.
    A quick'ning interaction, for
    A gushing torrent breaks.

To think that out there is a soul,
    In contemplation bringing,
The rich rewards of love's true charm.
A heart that now is singing.

    Hi LT

I think it's for your wife. Did you go ahead with a Valentine plan?

I actually got a card from Alan - my 2nd in 7 years. It was a total surprise. JW habits die hard. And this one didn't even have Pepe le Pugh (sp?), the cartoon skunk on it!! Things are looking up :-).

    LT,
This time your beautiful poem has me lost. But I feel it may not be a woman at all that you write for. Don't ask me why I feel this; just a feeling. Probably I am wrong, but the poem is wonderfully phrased and cryptic.

-Ana, wishing LT a Happy Valentines

    Happy Valentine's Day LittleToe!

I am sure whoever you wrote this for is thrilled, touched and their heart is indeed singing. You are a very special person with a rare talent, I hope it is appreciated!

My wife did NOT appreciate the single red rose that I gave her today.
Today became pretty much the closest I've come to walking out the door.
Ah, well, life continues to grind on!

It's a beautiful poem LT. Love is a wonderful thing.

Sorry that your wife didn't appreciate your gift to her. Seems like some people take good things for granted.

I'm sorry your wife didn't appreciate your gift of love. I don't know what else to say, except sometimes life really IS hard, and DOES hurt.

Well done, LT. I won't comment on the rose thing.
