Elder Involvement — Graphic … Conclusion

Today I added to my blog page 13 of the 13-page submission by a Doctor of Psychology that is a Watchtower appointed elder. I also added the document’s bibliographic page. He had ideas about elder involvement with Jehovah’s Witnesses suffering mental illness, and particularly victims of child abuse, and thought it best to share these with Watchtower.

My article is titled Elder Involvement — Graphic Presentation and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/elder-involvement-graphic-presentation.html

This 13 th page contains the author’s conclusion. You’ll find terms used such as “fallacy,” “naïve,” and “criminal”. Don’t make more out of it than it is. But don’t fail to make of it what it is, either.

My apologies to readers for the time it took to ready this collection of documents. That said, a few readers have expressed problems with the background of my blog page, and one emailed me a screenshot showing nearly unreadable text of dark-blue on a solid brown backdrop. I do not know why some readers have this problem and others do not seem to. But I would ask that readers let me know if they are having this problem to give me an idea how widespread it is. And, if someone around here knows what could be causing this and how I can correct it, please do so. In both cases it would be considered a great favor.

    Thanks Marvin . . .

The inclusion of a bibliography would have been foreign to them for a start, since they avoid the practice themselves in order to quote out of context.

There is no denying the appropriateness of the application of the "good samaritan" principle also . . . but obviously they did.

I was delighted to see the comparison to the efforts of the WTS to support their blood policies . . . something I touched on in your earlier threads.

The letter is extremely well written by a man with a genuine care for others. I don't think I've seen anything more damning of the Organisation in respect of it's complete absence of love for it's followers. Nor have I seen a more telling indicator of what their true motivation is. The GB is fully deserving of all the condemnation they have ever received on this board . . . or anywhere.

If Ray Franz had survived as a JW . . . it surely would only have been till soon after 1992

Am I reading the document correctly? The letter from the Elder/Psychologist is from 1992. Is that correct?

Marvin - Do you know the Psychologist personally? Any chance he is from California??

OK to pm me if you prefer.

    -Aude.

Yes, Marvin, you've got a problem. Get rid of the dark patterned background and just go with white or a very light gray color until you can get it fixed. I've looked at it with IE0, Firefox, and Chrome and all of the regular text is very small and with black text simply disappears into the back ground.

That should have been IE9. Sorry...

That's very strange JV2 . . . Marvins background appears pale tan to me, cream on the documents . . . on IE7, IE9, chrome and FF . . . and the text quite readable. And yet quite a few seem to have the problem . . . very strange???

My view is magnifiable (X2) and as it appears here . . . . (Apologies in advance Marvin . . . just hoping this might help)

Perhaps someone who is having the problem could verify any differences?
