Russian court turns down appeal of Jehovah's Witnesses sect

Moscow, 12 February: Moscow's Golovinskiy inter-municipal court on Tuesday [12 February] rejected an appeal filed by defence attorney of the city's Jehovah's Witnesses community, to close the case against that religious organization.
The attorneys told the judge that the Supreme Court is now considering their appeal against the Moscow city court's ruling to send the suit back to the lower court and that the case is also [presented] before the European Court of Human Rights.
The court has stared the third hearing of the case for closing down the community.
