Watchtower — Faith — Compromise? (abridged)
Today I uploaded a new article to my blog addressing two teachings rolled out by Watchtower during the WWII era. These two teachings were placed on equal footing, but Watchtower allowed a particular action regarding one that it disallowed for the other. It has to do with response to court orders and what constitutes a compromise of faith.
My article is titled Watchtower — Faith — Compromise? (abridged) and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/08/watchtower-faith-compromise-abridged.html
There is also an unabridged version giving more background information addressing the same topic. This unabridged presentation is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/08/watchtower-faith-compromise-unabridged.html
The recently published article authored by Judah Ben Schroeder gives a succinct presentation of something Watchtower has been careful to avoid saying in so-many-words, and it underscores the disparity addressed in my article. My blog article contains this presentation from Schroeder’s article as an excerpt.
