    I like Czech National anthem.

    Well, since Japan national anthem is gloomy, I do not like it.

    Both very beautiful countries. Don't like the music so much. Reminds me of the Kingdom Hall (lol).

    I don't really like national anthems.

    It's okay to feel good about the place you call home but not to the point where nationalism takes over and one feels superior or special these things lead to war and terrible things.

    Songs do have beauty but sometimes they stir up dangerous emotions.

    I find it difficult to be objective about anthems because of the destructive history of the human race.

    Woody Allen once made a joke saying that everytime he hears wagner he feels like marching on Poland.

    Moreover, I said as "When you choose by only your taste in music."
    Although I love my homeland/Japan, I said that "I do not like Japan national anthem" from this standpoint (my taste in music).

    That gloomy national anthem of Japan is not the Japanese people's consensus.

    I just got carried away with my thoughts.

    I wonder who makes decisions about what the national anthem will be for any given country. You said the one in japan is gloomy how long has it been sung as the anthem?

    Maybe it was chosen during a sad time and seemed appropriate at the time. i wonder if a country ever voted one out they didn't like.

    The French. Anything is better than the Star Spangled Banner. I love other patriotic US hymns. America, America. America the Beuatiful, My Country Tis of Thee, We Shall Overcome, the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Even Yankee Doodle is better.

    God Save the Queen is great.
