Moving House

Just had an offer accepted on our first house- we are going to be grown up and getting a mortgage! Scary...

Anyway, I was thinking that we are moving to a totally new area and eventually there's going to be a knock at the door and too weary-looing sisters brandishing Bibles and brochures. I'm not sure whether to admit my 'not-disfellowshipped-but-living-a-life-of-copious-sin' stance, whether to ask them to leave and stick me down as a do-not-call, or whether to pretend to be truly interested and tie them in knots.

Ooh, the anonimity. But can I be arsed?

Hi faundy. Thats good news for you both.

In answer to your question, I'd just say not interested thanks, and close the door. Why look for complications.

Would any of your family be likely to pass on your new address though?

"No thankyou, I'm not interested in joining your cult."

    Close door firmly.

Congrats on your new house (and grown-up mortgage)!

When they come to the door, just smile and say "no thank you" and close the door. As time goes on, you might decide to say something but it's entirely up to you.
