An aposta-friend of mine was asking if someone could 'trade mark' the name Jehovah so the dubbies had to pay to use it?
I really don't know how this stuff works. I would imagine the JDub lawyers have it all covered or it's covered somewhere.
I guess if it WERE possible there would be 'new light' (TM) that God is really called .......something else???
I'm pretty sure you can't trademark someone's name. It would be like trademarking Jesus' name, so that no one else could use it.

As if God needed help from puny man's legal laws to protect his people's name. I wonder if Moses had to deal with such legalities while wandering through the desert...
I would guess that Watch Tower, Watchtower, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and every other entity the Borg has established behind the front group JWs are all already trademarked. They don't have dozens of lawyers on their legal team just to get library cards and fight child rape lawsuits.
