The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society is building an extremely large Recreational Center for the benefit of the Bethel Family.
With a creepy gleam in his eye, this brother spoke about how the Rec-Center would have "ever ball-court imaginable"
and "an olympic size swimming pool", etc.

If you count the number of rooms and buildings being constructed, logic will tell you that this complex is meant
to house 3,500 to 5,000 people. Doesn’t that tell you something?

The WBT$ will develop the Property with JW Money..

    Then Sell it..

It`s another WBT$ Real Estate Scam..

@AnnOMaly- thank you very much for posting the link to the FEIS pdf! Very interesting.

I note that it says the "printery building" has 802,917 Square feet. The KM said it had 590,000 sq ft.

Did I misread or misunderstand something in this FEIS, or did the KM give the wrong figure?

They're zoning the recreational facilities as a 'Country Club'. That's real funny. I think they are planning on retiring Brooklyn Bethel, selling it off and putting themselves into a plush environment in the nice surroundings of Upstate NY. At least they're not like the Scientologists and bought a cruise boat to retire on.

I don't think they plan to move out of Brooklyn entirely. Even if they were to sell off the Office Complex and most residence buildings they could maintain the 117 Adams Street Complex. It could house offices, factory and other depts and has residence and personal services for 1,000 Bethelites.

But I have never read anywhere that they plan to move out of Brooklyn. Since they downsized they have excess residential space, so it is the "outer buildings" they are looking to sell.

Wallkill could not house the 1500 Brooklyn Bethelites, nor could Patterson. Even with Ramapo and Warwick completed they still would have 600 Bethelites remaining in Brooklyn. The Adams St Complex could easily accomadate the 600 remaining there.

But it is all speculation. The WTS has never said anything about completely moving out of Brooklyn.

    How to be a Christian:

    1. Sell all your wordly posessions

    2. Give all your money to the poor WTS so they can then proceed to give it to the poor build recreational facilities, kingdom halls, printing facilities, assembly halls, bethels and print millions of tons of literature because the bible alone is not enough

    3. Follow Jesus the WTS

    4. Get baptized in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit spirit-guided organization

    5. Spend your weekends telling people the good news of the kingdom giving out magazines door to door

    6. Live under the light yoke of Jesus Spend many evenings studying manmade doctrines and trying to live up to them

The Watchtower still owns the opulent Stanley theater (Saddam's palace) in New York city? While their brothers in 3rd world countries exist in cradle to grave agony.

Would Jesus preach in the Stanley theater?

Built in 1928 as a vaudeville and movie house, the Stanley Theater is a massive Gothic-style structure. The 4,300-seat amphitheater is second in size on the East Coast to Radio City Music Hall, which was built in 1932. Jacob Fabian of Paterson, noted for theater construction in New Jersey, commissioned Fred Wesley Wentworth of Wentworth and (Frederick J.) Vreeland to built the movie palace.

A glittering copper marquee spans the entrance, overhanging the solid brass doors. Over the marquee are three large arched windows. Building materials include marble from Italy, Vermont and Texas, limestone from Indiana, and granite from Maine to face the Corinthian columns.

The impressive interior has a three-story lobby adorned with columns, a broad center staircase with trompe l'oeil alabaster handrails and balusters, lamps, velvet drapes, andstained class windows of faux "Chartre Blue" in the foyer. Allegorical paintings by Hungarian muralist Willy Pagany adorn the ceiling and walls. The larger of two crystal chandeliers, suspended from the second floor, is from the .....
