Have you ever looked at old videos and were shocked by your mindset then?

Yes, I can say I have... Actually, I watched the new video about creation that was released last year and looking at it from the mindset I have now, I can see it's a load of tripe. Same with the litter-ature... A strategically-placed brochure was left open on the kitchen island this past week... opened to a section about "Who is the True God". I didn't even bother glancing at it (well, except to take a photo and send it to my bf to show him how my mom just won't give up...). I watched part of the one they released about Russell and Rutherford and just shook my head through the whole thing...the innacuracies, the cover-ups, etc.... I couldn't see them when I was in. They're slapping me in the face now, though!

I am not sure what happened to the text in my posts, but I'll try again. Recently I decided to quit procrastinating and I finally sent several of my 1980 and early 1990 home videos in for transfer to DVD. When I got them back I figured that would see some differences (especially physical) but I was somewhat shocked at how much my mindest had changed since those days of my wantering through the Watchtower world. I knew when compared to myself today that I would find myself somewhat odd, but man I was really strange.
On various clips I made comments about how close to the end we were and how Christendom was about to meet its demise. On another clip I am walking holding a large piece of cardboard and I declare "This is my large shield of faith" (gag), however that was probably a very accurate statement.
I was very amused at watching the 1984 and 1986 memorial talks that I taped and I can see why I nodded off in many a meeting. I also saw faces of people that have not spoken to me in almost 20 years as well as some who are no longer with us.
Have you ever looked at old home videos and wondered "I can't believe I acted like that!"
