Love for God’s kingdom and promoting it is often mistaken as love for truth and righteousness.
In ancient Israel king Saul and king David could get men to ally with them by the thousands, but a prophet in Israel could at best get just one attendant. A prophet usually was not considered as the crown jewels of Israel. Notwithstanding that the prophets had the veritable word of God and they were emissaries to kings and the kings conferred with the prophets on matters of life and death, yet a wicked kings could get his loyal supporters who were the lovers of the kingdom to put to death the prophets of Jehovah/Yah
People would flock to the king by the thousands. For instance, David while he did not yet ascend to his throne, as a fugitive, he easily allured a following of six hundred men. On the other extreme "the man of God" Samuel, Eliyah and Elisha could get just one servant each. Isn’t this an astonishing fact!
Men who can convince other men that they will co-rule with Jesus/Yeshua in God’s kingdom will also attract a large following. God hand-picked David and anointed him as king over Israel. This exalted king’s misdeed caused seventy thousands people to lose their lives ( 2 Samuel 24:15). These seventy thousands of persons died as mere subjects of king David –they were zealous supporters of the kingdom but they did not make a good name with the God of Israel.
No kingdom is there until there is genuine love for God and for truth and the willingness to search for truth wherever it may be found?
