The basic premises here are that: Premise1: God's word, the Bible, is from Jehovah Premise2: Governing Body bases spiritual food on God's word Conclusion: What is taught is not from men, but from Jehovah Using this reasoning: ALL christian religions base their "spiritual food" on God's word. Even if their understanding doesn't agree, they are still based on God's word. Therefore, all Christian religions teach what is from Jehovah. While the argument is valid, it is not logically sound. Why? There is an important missing premise: Premise3: God "does not lie" Different Christian religions teach different things. They all base it on God's word. Since God does not lie, then conflicting teachings by different religions prove that just because a teaching is "bible-based" does not mean that the understanding of it is from God. Even internally, the Watchtower's own teachings over the years (ie. generation (literal -> anointed -> 1914 -> wicked -> anointed -> overlapping anointed), superior authority (worldly governments -> Jehovah/Jesus -> worldly governments), etc) confirm that these teachings/understandings were from men, not God. If you want to use the reasoning "God's word doesn't change, just our understanding of it does", that is fine. But it is not right to claim that your understanding is from God, then use that "authority" to enforce your understanding on others.

That premise ignores completely my own inept cookery skills and any mistakes that I may have made along the way. I just hold up my hand and say "Blame Delia!"

Crisis of Conscience
pirata , This is a conversation I had with my wife today. Except, I took it from a different angle.
I presented her with an illustration. If I were to give someone a gift, like for example, a Sony DVD player, and it was defective, who should take the blame? Certainly not me! I didn't manufacture the product. Blame it on Sony.
So when there is a mistake, oh pardon me, "New Light", in a publication, who is to blame? Blame it on the ones lovingly providing food at the proper time? NO WAY! They are only teaching what is from God. Fine, then blame it on the source - Almighty GOD!
Now does that make sense? If the GB doesn't want to take the fault, but yet they say God is not the source, who the H E double hockey sticks keeps making these dogone mistakes, and wasting the worldwide work donations printing this garbage?

You have to look at it this way: Jehovah is the ventriloquist and they are the dummy that he speaks through.
Now, if we could only find out the name of the brother or brothers and when these miraculous conversations took place! Too bad they didn't audio/videotape them because that would be something to experience.
