Compensation Claims

How many of you have considered at any time making Compensation Claims through legal channels for sufferings you have been through at the hands of the WT Corporation/s?

If you were to consider such a claim, what would be the foundational basis for your claim?

And if you've never considered it, what is it that you find particularly daunting that stops you from accessing this avenue?

Any good lawyer / attorney companies that you know of that specialise in compensation for victims of cults and high control religious groups, can anyone supply any info?

Thought about that too, but what would the charges be? Time spent in field service..That was voluntary. Perhaps if there's a slander suit, or physical, sexual, or other criminal activities that could be used....otherwise I really don't see how.

Obviously Ashi, there are different laws and protocols for different countries.

Here in the European Union, there is now The Bill of Human Rights, which I am sure the WT Corporation is in severe violation of on quite a few issues. When I find time I will plough through the legal language there-in contained within that act to see ways through for possible action/s.

The WT cannot deny its members through voluntary action or not as the case might rest, the constitutions held within this Bill of Basic Human Rights. In the UK The 1989 Children Act is another act passed that might need some serious looking at, at some point, again, when I have the time, I will read and research the Act in its entirety.

    Sexism.

The JW would be slammed for segregating ethnic groups and yet half (or possibly more) of the total number of JW's are gagged and degrograted purely because of their genitalia.

It would take many voices to make anything happen but this has to be some infringement of human rights and equality, surely. Yeh, sure there are many women who quietly accept the role they have been taught is their's but what about those like me brought up in the sect? I was victimised for opening my mouth (as have so many other sisters I know).

Sexual discrimination is a crime in the work place, which I know is governed by specific legislation but women within the congregations are systematically programmed into believing that they are emotional, irrational beings with no sensible ideas or public voice. In any other sphere of life in the 21st century, surely this kind of absolute patricarchy would be frowned on, even condemned.

There, I shall get down off my soap box now.

Respect to all you free minded men out there by the way - I love you all!!

    Hey Mandy!! Good timing.

Unrelated to this point, I saw my mate Sophie last night, I mentioned her to you last time we saw each other. She is currently studying Gender Roles and I thought with your studies too in Gender Stereotyping, it might be good to introduce you to one another.

In Falmouth, there are quite a few of us who belong to the Radical Arts Foundation, which is involved with community and travelling theatre etc. One of the propisitions on the cards at the moment that we are discussing scripts on is JW's and Gender Roles. Can I introduce you soon to some of the women running this, I really think that you would find the experience very good, and being a very humorous, good natured bunch, right up your street. Would that be ok?

Now, to that beer you've promised me, you want to go out for a drink this weekend?

Take care me ole dear and give my regards to the rest of the gang including SP, KS and her sister, your mother and a lil kiss for your son.

I've always been curious is the charge for slander would stick. After all they are anouncing your name in front of a decent-sized croud. I know they don't say why you are being d/f'd, but it is a rather large implication of "wrongdoing"....

Daniell I think the issues go way way deeper than that.
