Last Wed night they read an announcement that there would be an English edition of the Watchtower in simplified English. Has there been a discussion on this, or has this letter been read elsewhere than the US? I would never have guessed that the WT could be 'dumbed down' any more than it is already. This one caught me by surprise. Any comments?
Simplified Watchtower in English?
Perhaps in Dick and Jane style it will simply say
OBEY WITHOUT QUESTION. Dick was a good boy because he did everything the brothers told him.
See Dick happy.
Jane is sad, jane did not do what she is told.
Jane will be killed.
Dick still happy
Just heard that this was announced at the local K Hall.....Of course it was on here first .
They said it was intended for those to whom English was not their first language, and parents might find it helpful for children, or 'anyone who has a difficulty understanding the language of the regular edition' ...Huh?
It will be also available on the website as a PDF so we can all see it.
Dumbing it down still further, I see....Does this not prove that they see their only growth among the lesser educated ones and immigrants???
I got news for them..If you do not understand the new "generation doctrine" and other garbage...it is not because of the words in the article, it is because the ideas themselves are unintelligible......
This is so they can have........ANOTHER NEW PEAK IN WATCHTOWER MAGS!!!!!!
The announcement was met with a collective, "How do you make 'simple' simpler?"
This Sunday is the big announcement about the 30 hour Aux. Pio. provision from the GB!
All of this is clear proof that these truly are the Last Days!
I thought the publications had always been in simplified English.
I thought so too. But what did I know
Watchtower magazine, for simpletons ? Same old, same old then.
This is Cain. This is his brother Able. Jehovah loves Able. Cain is angry. Cain hits Able. Run Able, run!
You can see where this is going.....and where the society is headed.
