A relative is working on a public talk outline on Bible prophecy. I thought maybe asking him a couple questions on his research, may get him to start thinking. Any suggestions without sounding the apostate alarms?

THE ORGANIZATION HAS ALREADY SAID, "YOU CAN'T ASK QUESTIONS THAT WOULD JEOPARDIZE THE AUTHORITY OF THOSE WHO TEACH."

SO, IT WOULD BE HARD TO ASK ANY QUESTION ON THE BIBLE. THEY CAN'T PROVE ANY OF THEIR DATES.

If you don't mind causing trouble at the KH, you could ask:

    1. How the 1919 date is arrived at from the scriptures.

    2. Whether the Adam-Eve creation gap is still the WTS' explanation as to why Armageddon didn't come in 1975 even though it was the 6,000th year after the creation of Adam or whether the start-of-the-7th-millenium = onset of Armageddon and paradise earth idea has been abandoned by the Society.

If you don't want to cause trouble at the KH, keep your mouth shut.

Of course, you could ask the brother privately beforehand if he is going to cover those points in his talk. If he gets upset, you can tell him that you read those explanations years ago in the WT and personally haven't seen any "new light" published on those points so you're confused as to whether the Society still holds to that teaching. Since he's researching prophecies, you thought he might know...
