A note of appreciation

During the past week we have been 'treated' to a couple of outstanding posts/services, namely the audio files of the complete KMS which Kent provided, and the series of letters (Jensen) about questions on blood provided by Randy.

Randy said at the time that the reading the letters would "blow your mind". Well, he was right there! But taping the whole KMS program was also something to "blow your mind", wasn't it?

Yes, both 'events' have shown very clearly that the borg is no longer able to manage the flow of information. We now have reached a point where no-one can dispute the accuracy of the information coming onto JW discussion board and the like.

I noted that from one talk that over the past 5 years in the USA, 41,807 on average each year have become inactive. During that time, an average 26,507 have been reactivated each year, leaving over 15,000 lost each year, or more than the number baptised. They must be worried!

Listening to the KMS I was struck by the lack of real spiritual feeding that was taking place. The talks were fluent but what of the content? What I listened to (and I admit that I can't 'bear' to listen to it all) came across as using pressure to get the elders to keep on working. It also was showing the elders how to pressurise the flock in their care. I noted that in the talk "CONGREG BOOK STUDY OVERSEER -- ASSISTING INACTIVE" the elders were given identifying marks of those becoming spiritually weak. Illuminating! If you haven't listened, do so, and you'll see cult control methods in operation.

In short, Mrs Ozzie and I feel sorry for them. Listening to good Bible teaching needn't be that way. The WTS have captured the minds of its leaders so that they are unable to see the real truth and have an appreciation for the Bible itself.

Thanks Kent (and Motorola) and Randy for the efforts.

    Cheers,
    Ozzie

    Ozziepost,

So true. Whthere prionted to verbal, so lttle of the content qualifies as ``spirtualk food,'' as God and Christ, their nature, etc., recede into the far background tobe replaced by self praise, behavior modifcation of the most supercial sort and manipulation by guilt

I agree with your points ozzie and would also like to give a big thanks to Randy, Kent and Simon (and others) who put in countless hours for our benefit.
Again, I'd love to see the look on the face of the boys in Crooklyn when they find out about the recordings of the elders school. They'll scramble to do something to stop this from happening again, but what can they do? Nothing.

    Oz,

I think it's highly significant that the sources of these ``leaks'' come from consicientious but disillusioned middle-level leaders (elders, Bethelites, etc.) who apparently feel some sense of betrayal by those in whom they had placed so much trust. They disclose so as to increase the pressure for change. You're quite right to express appreciation for their efforts.

Your point about the ``unspiritual content is also right on the money. Wanna get the dear brothers top look askance at you and raise a few eyebrows? Just salt your vocabulary with words like ervation about ``unspiritual'' content is also right on the money. Use words like ``salvation,'' ``redemption,'' ``grace'' and ``reconciliation,'' and watch the reaction you'll get.

Well, I already told Kent how much I loved him in chat the other day, and I try to thank Randy regularly, but I would like to specifically thank the mysterious "Motorola" for great undercover work, with or without an accomplice!

    Thanks, guys!
