Good point. WT created a secondary class of Christians to assist with elevating the leadership above the little people, depriving them of Jesus, the only Mediator spoken of in the NT.

But us honest-hearted Dubs don't need Jesus as our mediator, we have the 144,000 anointed class, please see Insight on The Scriptures in the article entitled "Mediator".
Then you will realise why we worship the 144,000 as represented by the Governing Body ,and not Jesus.

Elitism was built into the religion.
Think of the logic or lack of in this religious statement in the Gospels- If God is Father to all how can someone not be the 'son' or child of this Father. It would be like saying you have to do X to be human.
When the Greek Bishops got ahold of the NT things went awry.
