I was pulling out some weeds in my back yard a few days ago.
There was one particular weed that gave me a LOT of trouble to pull out. It surprised me because it didn't look as strong and hearty as it was.
It got me to thinking. How am I qualified to even declare how "tough" this weed is? A much stronger man than me might have no problem, whereas a much weaker man than me would have even more struggle that I.
In fact, to a gnat this weed is a massive structure of which would be impossible to unearth, and to an elephant it is merely an insignificance.
It makes me think of all the weight we, as a society, place on success and failure. What we deem "success" or "failure" is just as reletaive to it's surroundings as the weed is in my back yard!
It's humbling to know that no matter what we beleive a single event could make anyone on this planet a believer or a non believer.
If aliens came to our planet, that would change so much for the believers.
If God decided to show himself in physical form, that would change so much for the skeptics.
We denounce eachother, fight with each other and even kill each other over these perceptions we have. Beacuse that's all it is right? Just a perception.
Because, in the end, know one knows for sure.
