I'm sure it's been asked before, but I'll ask it again. After watching a WW2 movie, my Dad came out with a random line..."What's special is that a small group of people known as the Jehovah's Witnesses stood up to him. Now, my Dad is a strong JW and I have left, so this was a blatant taunt. I was half tempted to reply, "What do you mean, get slaughtered in concentration camps?" but I thought against it :p.

Anyway, how do you guys respond to this sort of, "The Jehovah's Witnesses were the ONLY religion Hitler completely went against. That means we are special" etc.

    Thanks.

Well, besides the Jews, gay people, deformed people, mentally retarded people, other Germans that didn't support him etc.

They had a "with us or against us" mentality, almost like the JW's.

They only "stood up to" Hitler after Hitler rebuffed their attempts to make nice with him. Check out some of these links: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/best-of/78490/1/The-Best-of-WTS-Hitler-and-the-Holocaust.
