Question- - - Is it OK to vote if your are a Jehovah's Witness? Can you be disfellowship for voting? Will Voting be an action to prove you have disassociated yourself. With so many rules and so many changes it hard to keep up to date. W/love--Zadok777

They changed it to a conscience matter in late 1999, but they could easily have made further "adjustments". And, with all the unity they have in that religion, it can vary. One group of hounders might simply say nothing. Another might mark the person who voted, or give a talk warning people that it is "having a part of Satan's world". This is worst in lands where voter turnout is low.

And there are hounders that will disfellowship, or take as disassociated, any witless that does vote. Of course, that doesn't include the great "Brazen Conduct" wild card--they give a talk in the Kingdumb Hell about voting being "a part of the world", and disfellowship anyone who votes. Not for voting per se, but for "brazen conduct".

Thank you WTWizard for the info. There is little info anymore on some to the matters. The rules seem to change at the will of the Service Dept. You can get rehab at the YMCA if your doctor says you need heart rehab and the YMCA is the only place nearby for such care. It still means that anyone still a JW will have to keep quite anything of questionable action. Don't ask any questions from the Elders or others or they will ask more questions from you... Zadok 777
