This is how poster, MagWitch, replied to me on her Can WeTalk FOOTBALL! thread.

    Auburn did/does look awesome.

I want the QB, Cam Newton, for my son-in-law.

He's one month and 16 days older than my little JW daughter.

I know how to contact him; what do you think I should say?

I don't think I would say ANYTHING, Sylvia - until at least you get her out of the clutches of the JWs...

Oh, but he's such a catch!

They would make a handsome couple!

    Just kidding.

Baby Girl hasn't shown any interest as of yet.

Didn't watch it, but glad to see LSU knocked off. Miami has moved up. Here's hoping Florida can climb back up to the top 25.

Snowbird, you watched a football game this weekend?

    I'm curious...

    Was there barbarity?

Were players trying to hurt other players?

Was there malice and ill will?

Were females allowed the privilege to play?

Did you see any of the following?

    1) Ganging up on one person?

    2) Helmet-to-helmet hits?

    3) Grabbing by the hair, towels, or clothing?

    4) Stomping on fingers or other limbs?

    5) Pulling on shirts, pads, or pants?

    Why, yes.

    I'm curious...

    I see.

Was there barbarity? No, this was a college game.

Were players trying to hurt other players? Yes, they were.

Was there malice and ill will? None that I could detect.

Were females allowed the privilege to play? Of course not! I don't know from where you get that.

Did you see any of the following?

    1) Ganging up on one person? No.

    2) Helmet-to-helmet hits? No.

    3) Grabbing by the hair, towels, or clothing? No. Only one face mask offense.

    4) Stomping on fingers or other limbs? Couldn't be sure.

    5) Pulling on shirts, pads, or pants? No. See #3B answer.

Thanks for your interest, Dark Side.

My profligate oldest daughter just offered to pay $750 for a ticket to the Iron Bowl for me, which coincides with my birthday this year.

Naturally, I declined, but thanked her for her interest, also.

Was there barbarity? No, this was a college game.

Are you suggesting that barbarity only exists in professional football?

Were players trying to hurt other players? Yes, they were.

Should there should be fines and/or suspensions to discourage that kind of behavior on the collegiate level? Or should that be reserved for the NFL only?

Was there malice and ill will? None that I could detect.

    Thank goodness

Were females allowed the privilege to play? Of course not! I don't know from where you get that.

I paraphrased you. I even provided a link, in case you forgot what you wrote

Did you see any of the following?

    1) Ganging up on one person? No.

    You were probably watching soccer

    2) Helmet-to-helmet hits? No.

    You were probalbly watching soccer

    3) Grabbing by the hair, towels, or clothing? No. Only one face mask offense.

    You were probably watching soccer

    4) Stomping on fingers or other limbs? Couldn't be sure.

    Yeah, that's hard to catch

    5) Pulling on shirts, pads, or pants? No. See #3B answer.

Thanks for your interest, Dark Side.

    You're welcome

    I don't forget - ever.

I said back in the (my) day, females weren't allowed the privilege of playing football.

I believe collegiate players should be ejected/suspended for excessive brutality.

Naturally, I wouldn't allow my daughter to pay that much for a ticket to a football game!

    Perish the thought.
