November is drawing closer and with it, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). If you ever have thought about writing a book someday, NaNoWriMo presents a good kick in the trousers opportunity to get on with it. There is lots of support during the month on their website, nanowrimo.org as well as various regional groups meeting to write together and help one another meet the mutual goal of churning out a 50,000 word "novel" during the month.
