In the previous posting I watched the watchtower images about worldly people etc. How awful are these. Since childhood I am grown up with this kind of indoctrination. Watch the little children naked on the flood image waiting for their dead. Now I have my own children, I'm totally shocked! There are much more of these pictures in recent magazines. Although I'm a conscious class witness (tm) I'm sitting totally shocked on my chair. What a crazy believe with horrible indoctrination.

In recent times, this one creeped me out. It is from one of the "Isaiah" study books . The context is of course Armageddon, and the animals and birds who will munch on the bodies and pick the bones clean of unrepentant sinners and apostates like us.
When I was a young boy, I believed myself to be a very naughty little boy when I looked at this immodest drawing of Eve in Eden in the book The Truth Shall Make You Free (get also the legged snake at the bottom)

Whatever you think of these deplorable images of pitiless destruction of 99.9 pct of the human race by a vengeful God, JWs share this worldview with many right-wing fundamentalists. It's hardly unique to them.
It's not unique. Other religions have Hell. Jehovah's Witness have their Armageddon.
There is one unique point: Jehovahs' WItness learn their children from baby's years the guilt and Armageddon story through the publications of the Society.
That's indoctrination.
This part of our believe has to change. Has to stop.

We watched the BBC4 programme on churches last week. There was a 15thC painting in a church showing the good going to heaven and the bad going down to hell.
My uberJW wife thought it was shocking that people should have been threatened in this way. I asked her what is the difference to WTS publications, if you are good you get to live in paradise and pet lions and tigers; if you are bad you are crushed to death under the falling rubble of churches and skyscrapers at Armageddon.

The WT is only one of many apocalyptic doomsday cults. In England I was accosted by a group of well dressed doom mongers not far from the British Museum. In New Zealand I have been offered sex by girls selling salvation from sure death from a comet that never hit us.
Sunday morning TV in NZ is well populated by cultists with very similar imagery and messages.
I think I was more shocked by the idea that doG wasn't going to drag his sorry arse out of the privy and kill me than I was by anything the WT had mentally prepared me for. 1 Kings 18:27
