when they are faced with "picking on someone their own size", like an ex-JW, they insist that "we don't talk about religion".
My wife and I ate with a couple from our old hall last Saturday. Super nice couple. Reasonable, fairly well adjusted (which is to say with significant worldly tendencies - they were successful in business, they were going on a sailing trip for a couple of weeks in the Carribbean, the following day they were going golfing and going out on the town) and yet we had to avoid discussing "The Truth".
Ok, I understand the dissonance these are going through, but c'mon! There is no way these two are "in the Truth" any more than my wife and I are.
This reminds me of "Catholics" I knew when I was one who didn't believe anything the pope said and yet still considered themselves to be "Catholic".
I suppose some just want the JW beanie, but I think it's hypocrisy.
