Have your views on hot button issues changed since leaving the JWs?

Sorry, I seemed to have hit submit before I could write anything.
Like abortion, capital punishment, going to war; etc?
Now that we are able to have our own opinions about these issues have you changed your viewpoint?
I have always been pro-capitol punishment; even as a JW. Or possibly because of being a JW, since the OT is pretty much eye for an eye.
I was on the fence about abortion. From a health care professional's perspective I had a fear that if it ever was outlawed there would be a lot of women dying from back alley abortions. From a "christian" (JW) perspective, I was pretty much on board with the WT about it being murder.
War I think now is sometimes necessary.
