In the new dvd faith in action, it states: Chapter 3: An uneasy alliance - charles ressell never professed to be divinely inspired. Is there any proof to the contrary that has been found? I certainly believe that if not he certainly alluded thereto in things he said and did.

The problem with the (good) question is that there is no standard dictionary definition of "divinely inspired".
Like all mystical religious bromides it reeks of "interpretation" and metaphor.
The idea really is a fairly GREEK one.
The mythology of Greek muses granting a gift to humans in the form of music, art, writing, etc. informs the idea of scripture having been
"bestowed" as from above: un-naturally or SUPERnaturally.
Russell advertised his Studies in the Scriptures as superior for inculcation to the Bible itself!
Russell passively and privately accepted his identification as the foretold "Faithful and Wise Steward" of the Time of the End.
He was directed toward "New Light" and alone among all those calling themselves christian single-mindedly identifying first one date and the next as ARMAGEDDON in the service of prophecy (Adventist style) within the framework of a publishing empire.
If you can pin a Jehovah's Witness down as to the PRECISE definition of DIVINE INSPIRATION (including what it IS as well as what it ISN'T)
then you can easily answer your own question.
Good luck!
