Trying to reason "living on earth" and not "heavenly hope"

  A witness trying to reason with me throws out a doctrine supportive question like "don't you think it makes more sense that God wants us to go back to his original plan of being on a paradise earth, rather than being in heaven"...so why would I think going to heaven is the more correct outcome for believers.

  OK, so if that's the case, why the need to depict all the clothed people in all the "after" renderings in the watchtower, where everyone has clothes on? By her argument, why isn't there renederings of naked people, if that's what God's original plan was?

  I just think it's funny, that certain details are overlooked in the reasoning with these people.

  I dont think the naked in the garden was literal.

  That's just the problem, frigginconfused. There is absolutely no way to determine what is literal and what is figurative with certainty. Therefore, why even assume that the garden of Eden was literally on earth? Maybe it was heavenly and they were banished to earth. When you can make things literal or figurative as you please, then none of it can be used as a basis for logical reasoning.

  And what's with all the gender specificity in their drawings? According to the WTS, we're all coming back as 'brothers' with NO genitals.

  After the 1,000 years and "Armageddon II, The Return of Satan" most of mankind will be wiped out by God (again!). Subsequently, the survivors will need to procreate to "fill the earth" (again!). The paradise to follow would have to have both males and females (again!). (anybody noticing a pattern in this ridiculous doctrine?)

  Mad Sweeney... I always enjoy your posts and you bring up an excellent point. They'll probably say next that during this time, some of the 'brothers' will become women for a short period while they fill the Earth again. It's all BS!

  Even the WTS doesn't know what they're saying. Ho boy!

  Ephesians 4:4-5 (New International Version)

  4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

  According to the WT there are two Lords (Jesus and "Jehovah"), two hopes ("heavenly" and "earthly"), thus two faiths etc.

  Try them with this too.

  Why publish a faith that provides a future of a nice house, your own land, a beautiful wife and bonny kids (in the short term for children) luscious fruit hanging off the trees ....Hmmmm

  Does not sound like they are offering MATERIAL rewards to attract people ? Relatively few new ones come out of the churches , they attract people who want all that "the world" offers but cannot get it.. Join us and you can have it all, they say ...It is a lot more fun than going to heaven !

  BTW , I never believed that man and woman were to become androgynous in the NW...are you sure that is what they say?
