Caveat re DPA Blood Forms

This is just a reminder since there is a lot of hubbub about the lack of new "No Blood" cards. The Durable Power of Attorney (DPA) forms that the WT strongly urges JWs to have filled out and at their doctors and hospitals have a peculiar clause in them. Sorry, I don't have one here at work to quote from.

It says somewhere inside that the DPA CAN NOT BE OVERRIDEN ORALLY. I take that to mean that if you have ever filed one with your doc or hospital, get it removed. If you get to the ER and they pull that, technically it seems that they have to honor the 'no blood.'

I may be wrong, but it doesn't hurt to get rid of them--if you choose.
