THIS ONE IS FABULOUS!!! It was written by an

    EXPLAIN GOD

One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace
the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of
things on earth. He doesn't make grown-ups, just babies. I think because
they are smaller and easier to make. That way He doesn't have to take up
His valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave
    that to mothers and fathers

God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful
lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things,
pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the
radio or TV because of this.

God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which
keeps Him pretty busy So you shouldn't go wasting His time by going
over your Mom and Dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't
    have.

Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there
are any in Chula Vista. At least there aren't any who come to our church.

Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work like walking
on water & performing miracles & people finally got tired of Him preaching to
them and they crucified Him. But He was good and kind, like His Father and He
told His Father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive
    them and God said "O.K."

His Dad (God) appreciated everything that He had done and all His
hard work on earth so He told Him He didn't have to go out on the road
anymore. He could stay in heaven. So He did. And now He helps His Dad out
by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God
to take care of and which ones He can take care of Himself without
having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important.

You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got
it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.

You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God
happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God. Don't
skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the
    beach.
This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until
    noon anyway.

If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be
very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you,
like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're
scared in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real
    deep water by big kids.

But...you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you.
I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.

And...that's why I believe in God.

What a pity he doesn't just keep the ones he's got, instead of constantly killing them and making new ones.

Kids say the darndest things. Anyone remember that?
I remember a little kid on that show when asked who
God was said, "Some guy named Howard"
He must have been thinking of the model prayer,
    "Halowd be thy name"

Hehe, I liked these two parts...

Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there
are any in Chula Vista. At least there aren't any who come to our church.
If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist...

Wonder if any of us could do as well?

So an 8-year-old mentality leads one to a fuller spiritual understanding of Christianity, is that it? I wonder what this kid would write once he grows up and starts reading a little. If, that is, a kid ever wrote it in the first place.

I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.

And...that's why I believe in God.

So, I believe in him cause he'll kill me if I don't. Yeah, warm fuzzies all over the place.

Even if this is an urban legend it is really cute. I especially liked the ending (quoted below)...heck my husband doesn't even do half of these. What a beautiful way of viewing our heavenly father.

Keep these thoughts with you throughout the coming years!

    1. If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
    2. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
    3. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.
    4. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
    5. He could live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your
    heart.
    6. What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem; not to
    mention that Friday at Calvary.

Face it, He's crazy about you!!!!

    And I think this statement...
And...that's why I believe in God.
...was not a reference to just this statement...
I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.
...but rather directed at the entire article.

    Thanks for sharing!!

    sadiejive,

    And I think this statement...
And...that's why I believe in God.
...was not a reference to just this statement...
I figure God put me here and He can take me back anytime He pleases.
...but rather directed at the entire article.
I didn't see any other reasons in the article. All I saw were baseless claims. I suppose that is acceptable for an eight year old, but not a rational adult.

    I also enjoyed this list:

But why stop there? Why not keep some additional thoughts throughout the coming years:

    7. God provides extra special viruses and deadly bacteria to kill off the weak, old, and young. Sometimes he spares the victims so they can live the rest of their lives disabled and in pain.

    8. God loves the people living in industrialized nations much more than those in 3rd world nations, so he makes sure they have enough to eat every day.

    9. Be glad that God gives us the gift of earthquakes, volcanoes, storms and other natural disasters. He must love us a lot.

    10. Treasure the sight of seeing a pack of wild dogs eat a wildebeest alive. Don't worry that the wildebeest is still conscious and in great pain with every bite, it's God's wonderful way!

    11. Isn't it wonderful that god created the physical laws of the universe so that the sun will explode in some billions of years? Won't that be a wonderful sight for our progeny to see!

    12. Thank the Lord that he saw fit to destroy over 99% of all species that have ever lived on this earth. And you thought that man was causing unprecidented extinction of animals today! Yes, man was most definately created in God's image.

    etc., etc., etc...

Some are too quick to only attribute the good to God. That shows a definite selective reasoning process to me.

Even though I'm basically pond scum in the eyes of most Bible-believin' Christians (when I'm religious, I practice Wicca), I still think most of this is very cute. I love little kids. What worries me is what he'll turn into when he grows up.
