    Dearest Friends of JWN:

Please submit your poetry or prose or images for Ray and Cynthia. They may not see them at this time but may, it is hoped, receive them by "spirit."

I love the sea and will start this thread by posting Sailing.

    Love,

I wrote this years ago... It seems appropriate

    Eventide

When eventide comes, with red skies at night

Sleepy sun melts into marmalade seas

You can take your ease by the evening breeze

As shift change takes place during last twilight

And you think on things and hope you did right

    Soft, certain, silent sea soliloquies...

    Sunset becomes day's last parentheses

Prelude to the dark symphonies of night

When the stars join their voices one by one

And provide us with pause for reflection

Days weighed by the constancy of the sky

Yet even the stars will die one by one

Will mankind ever make the connection?

To live and love today before they die?

    Not in Vain

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
    Or cool one pain,
    Or help one fainting robin
    Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

It's not the end ... only the beginning of something much better!

I took the one less travelled by,

And that has made all the difference. ..."

Farewell Ray. I hope you are going to a better place. Thank you for all you have done for us.
