So I told her I do more research and reading from the proclaimers book and I asked her if it would be ok to giver her and have her read the Crisis of the Consciences. She agreed.

So we did a little trade off. I told her I'm thinking about researching and maybe be attending Protestant church or something too.

She feels that we have to do what's best and respects my decisions. She's alot more understanding and loving.

    I'm excited for the future.

(I'm thinking in the future... my JW family will have hope, one family member at a time.)

Uncovering the evil secrets the GB covered and shining more light on God is my goal.

So butterfly, has your mother admitted to having read the Proclaimers book herself....when I was a faithful jw, I found a great deal upsetting although buried in the book. I know jws that left the WTS then after seeing the truths that had been concealed or even presented in a different light before. If she hasn't, be sure to mark the parts she missed.....and be sure to look up the context of any quotes from older publications if you can or get help from us.

Sorry it took so long to respond but thanks so much Blondie and cult classic. I will... I remember coming a crossed something that had certain parts we over look in the proclaimers book on this site but I can't seem to find it. If anyone has a webpage to suggest or someone’s thread on here I can visit, that will be super helpful.

I don't want to waste to much time reading through so much. I need to focus on helping my mom (soon other family) to see what I see. I did enough research to convince myself but not enough to retain the information. I started out just skimming through stuff and then recording stuff that caught my eye. Now I'm working on putting it into order so I can prove to my family the facts... while holding their attention.

I don't want to discourage them with negativity. I want to make a point that makes sense to them and then have them arouse the questions they had with the "truth" as I have... thus bring them to the realization that I come faced with.

Some sources I found on my own:

    http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/153031/1/1993-Proclaimers-Book-PDF

    http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/191629/1/PROCLAIMERS-BOOK-quiz

Here some mention of proclaimers book

And I sadly yet justifiably agree with this guy…

Just FYI: It makes you feel even more whole again to know that being Dfed isn’t the end of your world. And that there was a bigger picture to the whole thing from the very start. Wow when my grandpa said that the past matters, I don't think he realized how true that really was.... (may he rest in peace...as a good man just doing what he thought was best, an elder a leader to many and a loving father figure to me)

Alan Feuerbacher wrote a chapter by chapter discussion of the Proclaimers book.

Any JW who stayed in the saddle after 1993 had been given a disclosure by the Legal department that the WT was really a Publishing company printing religious materials for people (JWs) who turned them into their own golden calf. JW's get disclosure on a regular basis about the man-made nature of the Watchtower articles, but the JWs choose to not believe what they read.

My JW ex- wife quit going to the KH meetings sometime between 1994 and 1996, I can't help but think this book reinforced what I had tried to tell her back in 1988-89 about the WT Society. She wouldn't believe me at the time.
