Christianity looniness:
Does God have a son who is God himself separate and the same?
How many angels can have a party on the head of a pin?
Why does God destroy the creation he loves so much?
Would you be willing to die for your faith?
Is all the bible the word of God or just the good parts and the rest just men's thought about God?
Does God play hide and go seek with us and give as a reward everlasting life for those who find him?
Back 2000 years ago God was a rather small Deity confined by the world view of those who worshipped him. Heck the Devil was able to take Jesus up to an unusually high mountain to give him a birds eye view of all the Kingdoms of the world and tempt Jesus with them.
At that time there were talking snakes, talking donkeys. Flaming sword guarding the fountain of youth or tree of life. A person could request God to stop the sun in the sky for 24 hours to get vengeance on ones enemies.
Nobody knew what stars were, or had any telescopes and thought the earth was the center of the universe.
Today we know so much more,, the "Milky Way" is no longer considered breast milk sprayed across the sky but a galaxy composed of 100s of billions of stars and with huge outer space telescopes we see that there are billions of these galaxies many much bigger than out own.
We can see all the way back by means of back round radiation what the universe looked like when it was only 300,000 years old back over 13 billion years in time.
Any notion of God back then was small according to the common world view at the time, and so a small minded jealous God who makes belief in doctrine a matter of getting a reward of everlasting life might be believable back then when the world was so small but no longer.
So why argue about whether God is a trinity as if your everlasting future depended on getting the answer right. It is small minded, and all based on a big assumptions that a creator of this vast universe is so small minded that he really cares what you beleive.
Trinity God or the Son not God arguments come from small minds stuck on semantics about some ancient text written by men who had assumed to be writing under inspiration of a jealous God who it is assumed needed to be worshipped or else!
