    Did Paul start the idea of selling prayer cloths and "holy miracle" stuff?

    Acts 19: 11-12

    And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

    So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

    That sort of hocus pokus had been going on for millenia. All the writer of Acts did was incorporate it into Christianity.

    In Acts, it is also mentioned that Paul was a "tent maker". The connatation of the word could also mean prayer shawls. These little hints seem to indicate that Paul may have been making a lucrative business for himself out of using religion. Maybe this is why the other disciples did not have anything to do with him.
