I found this crap cake while browsing a link on the facebook WT fan site...

"From a Circuit Overseer in Georgia.... Brother Steve Kormendi

We had an interesting experience at our recent assembly.
Though he has never been to college, this brother who grew up in the
truth, is so talented that he was able to obtain a very high paying
job. A while ago, his company assigned him to give a talk to the
United Nations. He worried over what to speak about.

After much deliberation, he finally managed to prepare his speech and
showed it to his sister for her to read. His sister is also in the truth. As
she read the proposed speech, she couldn't believe her brother would
deliver it, so she asked him if he was going to give that talk to the U.N.,
    to which he replied 'yes'.

Well, he talked about the fighting and total disunity of the world and
cited the major cause of it all - religion. After stating a series of
facts and statistics, he explained that there is one group that will
never be found in that category - Jehovah's Witnesses - and then went
on to show why that was the case. He spoke at length of the
sovereignty of God's kingdom and how that kingdom will unite the
    planet.

The talk wasn't given to the whole U.N., but rather to a division of it
having to do with economics. When he finished, he nervously wondered
how his speech had been received. Eventually the chairman, who like
the rest of the committee held a variety of university degrees, said
that the last thing he expected to hear about at that time was
religion. He went on to say that there was certainly no doubt that
religion was the cause of so many problems. You can imagine our
    brother's relief!

Later, as the meeting was breaking up, he approached the three members
of the committee with a question: 'So, when are you going after religion?'

They were stunned. They asked him: 'How do you know that is what we
    have planned?'

Our brother quickly replied: 'The bible foretold it in much detail.'
After consulting together for a few moments they declared that it
would be happening soon because everything was already in place.
As they left the room, one turned to our brother and quietly said,
'Whatever your mission is, get it done quickly, for it won't be long
    now!'

Wow! Talk about excited - This surely shows Jehovah our God has
entrusted the the truth of his word to the right organization"

Since it's total JW fan fiction, let's finish the tale..

...so the mean nasty bad guys from the UN were so angry that he had revealed their super secret plans to turn on the Jws, they put his head on a pike.

Variations on this story have been around for years! The last one that I heard was that a brother was on a long flight, sitting next to a UN dignitary/VIP/janitor. During the conversation it came out that the UN had plans in place to get rid of religion.

JW urban legends are exactly like every other urban legend.

Yeah, I heard a variation on that probably about 10 years ago.

The sad thing is, when I was still a Witness but having moral dilemas over some of the teachings, that story would have scared me.
Being a Witness officially docks your IQ by at least two thirds!

yep, heard that decades ago. These stories scoot round faster than a dog with worms.

What a crock of shit. I remember hearing this exact same story 20 freaking years ago. Geeze----those guys at the UN sure are taking their sweet time "going after religion".

I'd love to know the name of this "brother" who supposedly gave this talk, the name of the company he works at, and the theme of the speech he gave to his imaginary audience the UN. This story has become part of JW folklore, the same as the sister who was saved from being murdered when she was out in Serve-Us, because the "murderer" saw "two men with her"; or the stories of a Witness woman who was watching Bewitched and the same thing that popped up in Derwood and Samatha's living room, popped up in this sisters.

We should start our own JW 'folklore' legends and circulate them around Dub-dumb Land!
