it has been a nearly perfect first morning of winter...

a brisk morning walk as the sun rose across the bay,
the fox scurrying across the ice, paralleling our path,
and suddenly an amazing waft of orange essential oil....
i am thinking it was from the bakery at the store....

i got home and got spiffed up (northwoods version)
to go to the talent show at the HS where i heard my
son play an acoustic duet with his best mate
(radios in heaven by plain white t's) plus he played
one of his own songs (jumped the gun)... the spanish
class did a HILARIOUS skit about "rudolfo el reno de la
nariz rojo".... just a lot of laughing and merriment to
    end the year

then a quick trip to the courthouse to drop off paperwork
found me in the midst of the little catholic school kids
a'wassailing so i joined right in and was invited to sing
the next song with them.... which i did, ending with wishing
everyone a jolly and a merry....

back home, returning a call that finds me invited
    to xmas brunch....

damn near perfect first morning of winter

being clear of the b0rg has allowed me to
be able to just love the life i have now, and
see that there are so many little things, so
many little choices that make it good

    bon hiver, mon amis

    Back atcha!

I'm nursing a sore jaw while pretending to work!

We're in this old dilapidated trailer off the beaten path.

The door is wide open and the sights, sounds, and smells are wonderful!

Have a good rest of the day, my friend.

It sounds wonderful Chickpea. Mine isn't quite as magical. I worked late last night so I'm just getting going. It looks beautiful outside, sunny with cold wind. I'm heading out to rake up the leaves that were blown of the plumerias and put the trash out. Then it is off to do some last minute Christmas shopping.

My first day of winter was warm enough to play outside with the grandbabies. Yeah, a good day!
