I have to recommend this book as one of the most erudite treatises on the Bible I have ever read...how did I miss this? Anyone else out there read it? Comments?

its a very good book.
Shows how the Bible and the interpretation of it influenced the great literature of the renaissance.
Shakespeare's work is influenced by this "great code"
I got so much more out of Eng lit after i read it, as I now knew where some of the writers were coming from.
I recommend it.
It must have been out of print for YEARS I read it in the early 80s.
