Brothers and sisters,
I think about what it must feel like for a blind man from birth to be given the miracle of sight through a new treatment. What a wonderful experience that must be!
I see that same that same wonder and joy in many here. The joy of the first Christmas, New Years, and looking forward to the next birthday. You have a new joy that many take for granted, because they always had it. I never had the holidays as a child. As an adult, they are precious to me.
The wonder of going to college is the same. You enter college with excitement and a true desire to soak it up. This not to be unerestimated as a powerful wonderful force in your life. Yes, it came to you late. Yes, life could have been better, education wise, but, man, you are really into it. The average 19 year old can not say the same. God bless you on your new adventure.
At one time you really could not express your ideas, your questions, your disagreements. It was not nice. It was not scriptural. Independent thinking was wrong. Well, guess what? You can express your ideas. You can ask questions. You can disagree with others. Ain't it wonderful??
